Malaysian Red Crescent, MMU Cyberjaya Chapter: Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner (AVAD) 2011/2012

The Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner (AVAD) was held every year for appreciation of the hard work of MMURC members. It is also the celebration of 10^th year anniversary for MMURC in the year of 2012. In conjunction with this, seniors from past 10 years were invited for joining us to celebrate together. The theme of “Stitch To The Past, Link To The Present, Together We Strive For Humanity” hopes to bind current members together with seniors. At the same time, the dinner is a good chance for us to share the different experience with each other. The theme for the attire is colourful, symbolizing the life we had in MMURC was fun, unique and challenging.

There were about 77 people had attended this meaningful dinner. Pn Fatimah bt Sulaiman , Chairman of Malaysian Red Crescent, Selangor Branch, Mr Charn, founder of Malaysian Red Crescent Multimedia University Cyberjaya Chapter, Mr Kalai, Deputy Chairman of MMURC and Miss Wong, advisor of MMURC had attended this dinner as our VIP. The opening ceremony was officiating by the VIP.

There were ten performances being presented including video slide show, drama, guitar performance, beat box performance, senior sharing, prom king and prom queen contest, games, singing performance and two different dancing performances done by committees as well as invited performers.

For guitar performance, there was a group performance as well as the solo part performed by Addtone Resources. In addition, beat box performance by Krazy Ash Rex and singing performance by Dave Koo from our campus had made the dinner more colourful. Moreover, there was a group of girls from Malaysian Institute of Art performed dancing in this dinner. In the prom king and prom queen contest, Mr. Ong Zi-Jun and Ms. Agnes Yap YuQing were chosen as the best looking male and female of the night. The remaining performances were prepared by the committees. Including magic show, drama, and dancing. Besides that, we also had a cake cutting ceremony and birthday celebration in advance for our founder, Mr. Charn.
