Mr. Omarrudin Ibraim, Senior Manager of Student Affairs Division, Mr. Nawi bin Mat Nun and Manager of Student Activities of MMU was at the exhibition venue to mark the opening of the exhibition. Mr. Omarrudin urged more students of MMU to visit the exhibition and hope that they would consider themselves as a very important part in promoting peace in all areas, not limited to nuclear abolition only. About 180 lecturers, staffs and students visited the exhibition (through visitor count). About 20 person has volunteered as exhibition guides.
On 22 March 2012, a public peace forum entitled "From A Culture of Violence to A Culture of Peace: Transforming The Human Spirit" was held at FOMXR0001. It is coorganised by Soka Gakkai Malaysia. The event started off with a wonderful performance of singing the song "Heal The World" by Youth members of Soka Gakkai Malaysia.

Two panel speakers discussed the topic in an inspiring and profound manner. They were Pn Fatimah Sulaiman, Chairman, Malaysian Red Crescent Selangor Branch and Prof. Dr. Christopher Boey, Vice President, Soka Gakkai Malaysia. Pn Fatimah Sulaiman mentioned that there are many times that peace efforts by individuals and NGOs would go unnoticed, but our spirits should not be wavered because we are well aware that our efforts will help to ease the sufferings of others. She also hoped that more people would gain understanding on the "International Humanitarian Law" pioneered" by the International Red Cross and Red Crescent. Pn Fatimah also stressed the importance of youth to understand the meaning of peace and to further take actions towards peace making. Dr. Boey highlighted that 55 years after the Declaration Calling for the Abolition of Nuclear Weapons made by Soka Gakkai Second President Josei Toda, the efforts for nuclear abolition today is more significant than before. The sufferings caused by war is heartening. Although suffering is inevitable in life, we should appreciate the fact that our life is precious, and there is nothing more meaningful than to live our life in the best way possible despite all the odds. Dr. Boey also quoted SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's quote, "Peace is not faraway", inspiring the crowd to never give up hope. The forum ended with a question and answer session. About 80 people attended the forum.
