Share of thought: Landslide incident in Hulu Langat

It was a sunny day, a day which as usual as we used to be. No one expecting that a tragedy had will happen on that moment.

21st of May, a landslide hit an Orphanage home at Batu 14, Felcra Semungkis, Hulu Langat, Selangor.

Malaysian Red Crescent are among the agencies who responded in this tragedy. Rapid Deployment Squad, Ambulance Crew, Paramedic, as well as volunteers were deployed to the scene to assist in search and rescue operation.

4 of MMURC's members were responding to the tragedy upon confirming the information from our officer, to replace other members to continue the operation, as we not sure until when the operation will stand down.

We play roles in assist in Search and Rescue and transferring victims to hospital. When the fire fighter and rescue personnel found the trapped victims, paramedics and members of Malaysian Red Crescent were call into the scene to bring the casualties out from the scene.

The operation was stand down around 5.30am, 22nd May, after the last casualty been found. 16 of them lost their lives, while 9 injured (3 critical).

Alarming in my heart, emergency happen anytime, anywhere. Be prepared at all time to help those who in need.
