Venue: Batu Cave, Gombak.
Thaipusam Duty is an annual duty for MMU RC, as a support team for Selangor Branch RC which in charge for first aid standby for the whole event. For sure, St John Ambulance are there as well, same goes to trainee from Masha College, Metropolitan etc. Unfortunately, this year Thaipusam fall on MMU exam week. All the volunteers are preparing themselves for their final exam. But thanks to Alvin Shin, Chai Sim Por, Goh Pei Gueh and Lau Zhi Wei who are willing to take over this duty. We choose the very first shift – morning shift on the Thaipusam eve. Our tasks are patrolling the dark cave and handle the first aid case. Besides, we are helping MRC to set up the base in the dark cave by carrying all the equipment from main base to the dark cave. Mr. Chai Sim Por has been assigned as the Official in Charge in dark cave along this duty.
