Report: Emergency Response - First Aid Duty in University Tenaga Nasional

In action, beyond the campus! Our members were standby for first aid duty in Sport Carnival in University Tenaga Nasional. There are 6 events running in the same time e.g, football, rugby, hockey, badminton, table tennis and indoor rowing. Is big challenge for the members (3 of them on the first day) to actually standby for these number of events which held in different locations.

Most of the cases encounter were minor injuries, i.e lacerated wound, sprain and cramp. We used a lot of ice, cottons, gauze, elastic bandages, antiseptic cream, and counter pain to give first aid to all the injuries. There was a victim broken her teeth when playing hockey while One fracture on finger's victim being transfer to hospital for further treatment.

Report: OC VAD - First Aid Duty - MASISWA

Date : 4th-5th December 2010
Time : 8.00am-6.00pm
Venue : Around campus & Cyberjaya
Organizer : Multimedia University Cyberjaya Campus

This is a very first practical first aid duty for most of the involved members, in an event involved 1500 participants from all the colleges/universities around Selangor. In order to cater 10 events which conducted simultaneously in different locations, including Stadium, Indoor Stadium, Swimming pool, Grand hall, Sport Arena, Cyber Park, and Prima Avenue, members were distributed to different locations according to event. We get an ambulance with two ambulance crews to standby for any emergency cases.

Most of the cases encounter were minor injuries, i.e lacerated wound, sprain and cramp. We used a lot of ice, cottons, gauzes, elastic bandages, antiseptic cream, and counter pain to give first aid to all the injuries. There were 4 victims being transfer to hospital for further treatment.
